1. General provisions
This privacy policy describes the rules of Ontario24 Canada for the collection, storage, use and protection of personal information. The Privacy Policy applies to the website www.Ontario24.ca , as well as other services and other tools that have anything to do with our website.
By using various services that are linked to our site, the user confirms his consent to the collection, use and storage of personal information. This statement is spelled out not only in the privacy policy, but also in the terms of use.

2. Collection of personal information

The transfer of your personal information to friends, acquaintances or third parties is only possible in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. We do not distribute your information for marketing purposes without your consent. However, in some cases, we may provide your information to ad group companies, service providers or copyright holders if required by law or in cooperation with other companies or in violation of legal conditions. The information you share on www.Ontario24.ca : Our website allows users to share advertisements and other information with other users, thereby making this general information available to other users. 6. Advertising
Ontario 24 adheres to the principles of the AdChoices program of the Canadian Digital Advertising Alliance (DAAC). If you do not wish to participate in advertising personalization or retargeting/tracking programs that use your personal information, you can opt out of these programs by following the instructions given in the relevant advertisement, or directly on the AdChoices website provided by DAAC, using the opt-out mechanism. This does not mean that the ad will not be displayed. This only means that ads will not be personalized for you using cookies, web beacons or similar technologies.
7. Cookies
When you use our services, we and our service providers may place cookies (data files on the disk of your phone or mobile device) or web beacons (electronic images that are placed in the code of a web page) or similar technologies. We use cookies to help us identify you as a user, provide you with a better experience on our website, measure the effectiveness of advertising, and ensure trust and security on our website. 8. Rights of the data subject – access, correction, modification and deletion of your personal information, as well as withdrawal of consent
How to access your information or a copy of it: You are given the opportunity to access your personal information or information about your account by logging into your Ontario24 account. In addition, you can also contact customer support and select the “Privacy – Access to Information” section to gain access to your personal information that is stored with us. We may provide you with access to or a copy of your information, except in cases where applicable law does not allow this. In this case, a fee may be charged that does not exceed the amount established by law.
Making changes to your information: If your information is incorrect, incomplete or does not correspond to the purposes for which we process it, you can request the correction of this information. To do this, contact customer support and select the option “Privacy – Correct information”. We will process such requests in accordance with applicable law.
Changing Your Information: We cannot change your personal information or account details, however, you can make changes to your information by logging into your Ontario24 account. Please note that after placing a classified ad, it may not be possible to change or delete your ad.
Deleting your Information: If you need to close your account (if applicable) and/or delete your personal information, please send us a request by contacting customer support and select the option “Privacy – Delete Information”. You can also initiate a request through the Ontario24 application by selecting “Account Settings” – “Account Management” – “Request Account Deletion”. We will process your request within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.
You have the right to object to certain uses and disclosures of your personal information, as well as to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal information by us at any time by contacting us. It is important to note that even after a refusal, we may collect and use non-personal information about your activities on our website.
However, it is worth bearing in mind that there are certain exceptions when we may process your requests, including situations where we must retain information in accordance with the law or to protect our rights, as well as to prevent fraud, spam, criminal activity or other suspicious behavior. It is important to note that we may also retain information related to previously deleted ads or responses if this data is still in the process of being deleted.

9. Protection and storage of your personal information
We take measures to protect your information, including the use of technical and administrative security methods such as firewalls and data encryption. We also control access to data and servers to prevent unauthorized access, modification or disclosure of information. However, if you find abuse of your account or information, please contact us.
On our website, we use the reCAPTCHA tool to detect and prevent fraud, spam and abuse. This tool collects information about your hardware and software, such as device or application data, and transmits it to Google for analysis and improvement of the tool, as well as for general security purposes. Please note that the use of reCAPTCHA Enterprise is governed by Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We store personal information only for the period required by law and delete it when it is no longer needed for the purposes described above.

It is prohibited to abuse and send commercial spam through our website. You may not add Ontario24 users to your mailing lists for commercial purposes without their explicit consent. If you notice abuse of our website, please let us know. We also prohibit sending spam or content that violates our Terms of Use through our communication resources. We automatically scan messages for spam, viruses and other malicious activities, and do not store them on a permanent basis. Our Privacy Policy applies only to the information we collect from you, and we have no control over the privacy policies of third parties.
